Project Focus: Responsive and flexible service desks
The LBCC Library at Linn Benton’s Albany Campus required an updated reference desk, to provide a fresh look and better serve the needs of both staff and students. The staff’s main focus is on supporting students in their research, so they required open service desks that enabled staff to get alongside students.
The team chose our popular YAKETY YAK 202 Desk — a medium-sized desk designed for versatility and mobility. The cantilevered meeting oval provides a designated space for students to pull up a chair and work one on one with staff. Interaction is made easy, comfortable and inviting. The desk was so well received that a second 202 Desk was soon ordered for use as a Writing Centre station.
