At Charles Darwin University, new customer service desks were commissioned to align with their strategic path; ‘to enhance the student experience by having key student service providers in one place — the Library Hub’. Three YAKETY YAK 202 Desks were deployed as stand-alone customer service points throughout the library, easily adapting as a roaming station, issues point or help desk.

At Bibliothèque de Brossard Georgette-Lepage Library, our YAKETY YAK 202 Desk is being utilised as a library reference/help desk. Librarians are enjoying all the benefits of height adjustability choosing to work seated or standing depending on the task at hand.
This desk is fitted with our YAKETY YAK Covid Screen and our attention-grabbing LOLLIPOP Illuminated Sign Pole (available to install with any of our range).
At Harrison Memorial Library, the renovation of the main entrance provided the opportunity to re-think the library’s help desk requirements. YAKETY YAK Furniture supplied two YAKETY YAK 202 Desks, originally destined to be positioned side by side, in midst of the pandemic it was decided to deploy the desks separately, allowing for distancing and demonstrating just how easily YAKETY YAK adapts to change. TAFE NSW, Kingswood Campus, installed two YAKETY YAK 202 Desks, in left and right hand orientations, teamed with our 200 Cash Module, and ATDEC Monitor Arms to enhance the sharing of information. This dynamic grouping (seen here adjusted to seated and standing heights) is the library’s key customer service point contributing to an open, friendly and connected environment. At the University of Newcastle Ourimbah Campus, two YAKETY YAK 203 Desks form a modern front of house, come ‘Student Central’, providing the ideal place for the full range of student help and library services. Desks are positioned with plenty of space in between, providing privacy and allowing staff to work independently with students.
The Public Library for Union County revitalised its library spaces with YAKETY YAK 202 and 203 desks. Three YAKETY YAK’S were teamed with our 200 Cash Module and our Stand Alone Storage modules, to form a colourful and dynamic customer service zone. Two additional YAKETY YAK 202 desks were deployed singularly out in the library, one designated as ‘Tech Help’ and the other as a roaming help station.

At Puki Ariki Library and Museum, YAKETY YAK 202 and 203 Desks have been used extensively throughout the customer service areas. The most recent installations are two YAKETY YAK 203 desks, deployed in left and right hand orientations in key areas on the children’s floor. YAKETY YAK’s form is friendly and approachable and the desks smoothly adjust to ‘kiddie height’, ideal for interactive help points in a children’s environment.
